Mount Damavand is one of 10 most spectacular attractions in Persia according to National Geographic. The Mount was registered in the list of Iran’s National Heritage as the first natural place of Iran in 2002. Moreover, Mount Damavand has been included among the four valuable areas in terms of “the environment protection” since 2002 under the name of “The National Natural Monument”.
This wonderful mountain is the highest peak in the Middle East with 5671 meters height. In addition to its natural attraction, Mount Damavand has a cultural meaning for Persians; it is a symbol of glory, power and resistance in Persian legends. If you like climbing and have the ability to climb, you really should not ignore Damavand.
